Erin + Aaron – Charlotte Engagement Session

I adore these two!  As you can imagine, things could get confusing since they have the same name — so Aaron has been deemed “Ron,” to all of their friends, or “Ronald” as Erin calls him.  I bet he never thought he’d inherit a new name when he met Erin!  I love it though.  Ron and Erin killed it during their engagement session on a pretty late summer evening.  Can’t wait for the Spring ’16 wedding! xo

Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden Wedding – Ellie + Matt

Ellie and Matt are college sweethearts who met on the charming campus of Davidson College.  Ellie a field hockey player, and Matt a football star, they were the perfect match.  These two have the biggest hearts, and nothing shows that more than the professional paths they each ended up taking.  Ellie is now a school psychologist, while Matt is in med school.  This day was so special to be a part of. The minute I met Ellie and Matt I instantly fell in love with them; their witty personalities, strong relationships with their families, and their college romance story. They are just the absolute best!

Hall & Webb did a wonderful job making Ellie’s wedding vision come to life.  The enormous tent set on the back lawn was the center of the celebration.  It served as the ceremony site after a little rain rolled in (but you’d never know that wasn’t the original plan – Ellie and Matt had such amazingly positive attitudes about it), and was lit up with soft twinkling string lights (a personal fave) for the dance party that boogied all night to the ATL Groove Factory. They were AWESOME!

From a very personal place in my heart, I wish these two a lifetime of happiness.

Charlotte Country Club Wedding – Megan + Tom

Megan and Tom’s wedding day was filled with Tradition, family and lots of beautiful, beautiful color! With a love of their Irish heritage, books and travel, The Graceful Host created an unforgettable wedding day for these two centered around all of their favorite things.  After saying “I do” Megan and Tom jetted off to Ireland where they will live for a year while Tom continues his studies to become a Dr.  They tied this “little” detail into their incredible invitation suite created by Elisabeth Rose.  Megan’s wedding party color palette (“if you can call it that,” she joked!) was mismatched but coordinated — perfect for this unique couple.  Luscious jewel tones showed up in everything from the bridesmaids dresses to the centerpieces.  All of their favorite food and drink were served to their reception guests – popcorn and craft beer in the bar decorated with UNC memorabilia, and mac and cheese and a custom whiskey bar in the ballroom.  No detail was overlooked by these two.  It was the perfect day for this fun loving couple filled with life and joy!

Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden Wedding – Christina + Zach

Christina and Zach are literally the two sweetest beings on the planet.  They are so kind and respectful of one another — and all of their family and friends.  It was so touching to see them interact with everyone and especially each other.  Christina’s heritage played a huge part of their wedding day celebration. Both Vietnamese and Laos, she had two outfit changes throughout the night that included typical wedding attire from both nationalities.  They were STUNNING! She was glowing in all three of her gowns.  The couple greeted each table at the reception by passing around shots of Hennessy, a Laos tradition.

The Graceful Host and New Creations Flower Company DECKED OUT the ballroom at the garden.  Peonies galore, lots and lots of greenery, and so many little special touches.  The whole day was such a delight.  Love you guys! xo

The Ivy Place Wedding – Raegan + Corey

Reagan and Corey were high school sweethearts. Their love is so honest and real, and I was so lucky to be there to capture their day.  They love the outdoors, so Ivy Place was the most perfect venue for their wedding.  The whole day was sprinkled with little bits of their personality — like the very special ring Raegan wore from her grandmother, and her grandfather’s bible with their rings tied to it, which he carried with him during the war.  All of these details and more, help explain who these two are and how much their family means to them.  They also had horseshoes and greenery scattered among the tablescapes and hanging from the chandelier in the reception tent, and a country/bluegrass band that had their guests up on the dance floor.   It was an amazing day to witness and be a part of.  I am thankful everyday for couples like Raegan and Corey who ask me to be there to capture it all. xo
