Tamarack, West Virginia Wedding – Lindsay + Seth 9.7.13

Lindsay and I clicked the minute we met.  I just loved her sweet personality, and her appreciation for the art of her wedding day photography.  When she asked me to drive to West Virginia to capture her and Seth’s day, it was a no-brainer.  From the minute we arrived at Tamarack, WV, Lindsey and Seth’s families and friends were nothing but kind and accommodating.  They insisted we sit at one of the guest tables and eat with the guests – she even had our names listed on their seating chart! And the food was amazing:)

I loved shooting here because of the interesting architecture.  Tamarack is an arts and crafts/cultural center for WV, and the signature red peaked roof made for such a unique setting. Also loved Lindsay’s color choices – it really made it feel like the fall wedding season has begun!

Their ceremony was so thoughtful and genuine.  They had 3 grandmothers read a very sentimental wedding ceremony reading, titled “These are the Hands.” If you haven’t heard it, I want to share it with you because it’s so beautiful:

These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow, and forever.

These are the hands that will work alongside yours, as together you build your future.

These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch, will comfort you like no other.

These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief fills your mind.

These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes; tears of sorrow, and tears of joy.

These are the hands that will tenderly hold your children.

These are the hands that will help you to hold your family as one.

These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it.

And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged, will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.

Thank you Lindsay and Seth for letting me share in the joy of your wedding day.
